Leaving Casualty (2011)

Popular duo Ruth and Jay (Ben Turner and Georgia Taylor) are set to leave the show.

Leaving the show before Christmas in an explosive, heart-stopping episode.

Ben Turner joined the cast of Casualty as Nurse Jay Faldren in 2008. His most recent storyline showing a more vulnerable side to his character when diagnosed with testicular cancer. 

Georgia Taylor who has played Doctor Ruth Winters since 2007 endured some dramatic storylines including attempted suicide and being  sectioned to a psychiatric award.

The pairs final episode will be Series 26 episode 16 (Next of Kin: Part 2) 

‘As fire rages through the ED, the team pulls together and surprising truths are revealed. Zoe, Dylan, Ruth and Jay are trapped in the hospital, unsure of whether they will make it out alive.’

Throughout the years the romance has been on-off for the duo who have captured the hearts of Casualty fans. Will they all be given their happily ever after? 

Tune in 10th December 2011 where their fate will be determined.. 

Ben is set to appear in the theatre production of Richard II from December 2011 at the Donmar Warehouse.
